I am writing to commend Reliable Landscaping and Sprinklers.  I am a lifetime resident of Oahu and, having owned 4 homes over the last 25 years, have engaged a number of different landscaping / yard care / sprinkler service companies and individuals over that time.  About 5 – 6 years ago, I read about Reliable Landscaping & Sprinklers and it’s owner, Richard Long, in the Star Advertiser Best of the Best annual review (by customers)  of various local businesses and services.  Mr. Long and his company, Reliable, were consistently voted #1 for several years.  I decided to give him a try and have been absolutely and completely pleased with my decision as the performance and work product of Reliable has been exceptionally outstanding.  I have  been a customer of all 3 major product lines: Landscaping,  Yard & Garden Service,  Sprinkler Installation and Service and have found the work within each of these to be uniformly excellent with very fair, competitive prices.  Undoubtedly, the success of this company is owing to it’s owner, Mr Long and his team of key people, Office Mgr. Excellent! Beyond our expectations. Richard (owner) was very punctual, helpful and so easy to work with. His proposal consists of a breakdown and costs of all areas from prep work, landscape/hardscape (names of plants/rocks, how many, size, costs) and type of sprinkler system and grass to be installed. In addition, he also drew up a sketch where all items would be placed and planned the the design perfectly. Very professional and of course ‘reliable’. Finally, the crew that he had assigned to our landscaping (Ludy, Luke, Luis and Roy) were amazing! The skill, professionalism and speed that they performed was fantastic! I have used Reliable many times, including a new house that needed everything from complete planning to irrigation to features to trees to lawn, etc. They did such a great job, I can’t say enough good things about them. The owner was cheerful, knowledgeable, and informative.
The owner followed up in person when the job was complete for a walkthrough. I pointed out some things that I wasn’t sure I liked, and he had the crew out the next day, no questions, no problems, just to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect, and to my liking.
I had my property graded to allow water to flow away from the house, and plumbing buried in the yard that runs from my gutter downspouts out to the end of the driveway. I also had them roto-till the yard, mix in soil condition and grade the lot in preparation for me to put down grass sod myself. I also had a small concrete slab installed and some nice rocks put in the backyard where there is not enough sunlight for grass. They just did a fantastic job. (Yelp review 12/2015)
